General Terms & Conditions

  • By taking part in one of our classes, courses or workshops you accept that neither the instructor, nor Blackheath Yoga Ltd is liable for any injury or damages to person resulting from the taking of a class, course or workshop.

  • We cannot accept liability for any damaged, lost or stolen personal items.

  • By creating an account on blackheathyoga.co.uk or the MindBody App you will be asked to agree to our terms and conditions. For further information about how and why we collect your personal information please see below.

Bookings & Cancellations

  • Bookings: Bookings can be made up to 4 weeks in advance and payment has to be provided at the time of booking. You can drop into classes without booking online but please be aware that we run small group classes and as such drop-in spaces are limited and priority will be given to students who book online. Please note, we do not accept cash payments in the studio.

  • Waitlist: If a class is fully booked you can join our waitlist. To join the waitlist you will need to have a valid payment option on your MindBody account - in case you do not have a membership or class pass available to use, you will be charged for a drop in class which will be refunded as a class credit to your MindBody account in case no space becomes available for you. If a space opens up and you are next in line, you will receive an email or text message notifying you that you have been added to the class - please ensure our email address is marked as 'safe' so it does not end up in your junk mail folder. If you no longer wish to join the class after having been added from the waitlist, you need to cancel your booking to avoid being charged.

  • Cancellations: We operate a 6-hour cancellation policy for all our studio and outdoor classes and a 3-hour cancellation policy for our virtual classes.

    • Early cancellations: All cancellations before the cancellation window should be made via our website or app; if you paid by class pass or purchased a drop-in class, your class credit will be added back to your MindBody account.

    • Late cancellations: Late cancellations within the cancellation window need to be made online via the website or MindBody App. Please note, if you late cancel your class pass will not be credited back to your account.

    • Cancellation of Workshops and Courses: Workshop/ Course fees are non-refundable. You can transfer to an alternative event or obtain an account credit for cancellations made up to 14 days before the event date. Cancellations after that date can only be transferred if your place can be filled from the waiting list.

    • No shows: If you are booked onto a class/workshop/course and fail to show up, your class credit will be deducted from your account if you are on a class pass or have purchased a drop-in class.

    • No shows on unlimited memberships: If you have an unlimited monthly membership with us and late cancel/don't show for a class you booked more than once per month we will apply a late cancellation fee of £5 to your account for each late cancellation.

    • Late arrivals: For safety and security of everyone in the studio, our doors will be locked at the start of class and if you are late you will not be able to join the class. You will still be charged for the class if you have booked online.

  • Cancellations by us: On the rare occasion that a class is cancelled by the studio, your class credit will be returned to your MindBody account or you can request a refund to your bank account instead.

  • It is the responsibility of the student to inform the teacher of any injuries or changes in health at the start of class. Yoga is not a substitute for medical attention so if in doubt please consult a medical professional prior to beginning any activity programme such as yoga.

  • If at any time during the class, you feel discomfort or strain, you are advised to come out of the posture and notify the instructor. It is important in yoga that you listen to your body and respect its limits on any given day.

  • It is the responsibility of the student to inform the teacher of any operations or surgical procedures in the past six months. If you are pregnant or have given birth within the last three months please inform the teacher at the start of class. Teachers have the right to refer students back to their GP – we are not being mean - this is for your own health & safety!

  • If you would like to discuss any health issues prior to starting a yoga practice please contact us under hello@blackheathyoga.co.uk.
